Parroo shows your Claude Code usage and reset times in the menu bar. That is all it does. There is no Parroo server, no analytics and no account.

What it reads

Parroo reads the token Claude Code saved in your keychain, to ask for your usage. It never refreshes that token. For open conversations it reads the markers Claude Code keeps in ~/.claude/sessions and the transcripts in ~/.claude/projects, and takes only each conversation's title, the start of its first prompt, and its token counts. Nothing else from your conversations is used.

The only destination is Anthropic

Usage is fetched from the same Anthropic endpoint Claude Code's /usage uses, every two minutes and when you open the menu. The request carries only your sign-in token. Your transcripts are never sent anywhere.

Update checks go to GitHub

Parroo checks for a new version once, at launch, and not again until the next launch. The check downloads one small file from GitHub Releases, so GitHub sees the same request — IP address included — as any other download.

No analytics

There is no crash reporting, no usage tracking, no device identifier and no third-party SDK in the app.

You can check all of this

Changes

If a future version handles data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released.
